Mode of action

Most active ingredients in plant protection products perform best in a slightly acidic environment of pH 5, but some are sensitive to alkaline water and break down more quickly, reducing efficacy. PHFIX^® forte adjusts the pH value of the spray water. When the spray water turns pink, it has reached an optimum pH value of 4.5 – 5.5.

PHFIX^® forte moreover has excellent wetting and penetrating properties. This allows better uptake of systemic agents and foliar fertilizers. Multiple tank mixes are stabilized by PHFIX^® forte.

PHFIX^® forte prevents the formation of insoluble cation compounds in filters and nozzles. PHFIX^® forte neutralizes dissolved salts hard water salts and prevents the inactivation of pesticides by alkali metals (Ca, Fe, Zn, Mn).

Hard water breaks down crop protection active ingredients in a very short time: after just two hours, half the amount of active ingredient can have been inactivated by hard water in the spray tank.

Alkaline hydrolysis and salt antagonism are responsible for the degradation of chemical agents in the spray tank. PHFIX^® forte is the first spraytank adjuvant to stop them both at a time.

PHFIX^® forte is approved for use with insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, growth regulators and foliar feeds.

Advice for sulfonylureas:
First dissolve fully the SU active ingredient and then make a slight pH reduction to a pH value of 6.0. The pH value can be identified by the yellow color of the spray water.

Attention!
No recommendation of PHFIX^® forte in tank mixes with copper fungicides, especially copper oxychloride. Phytotox on the leaf may occur!

Storage
Store PHFIX^® forte in its original packaging. Do not use metal vessels, because PHFIX^® forte is corrosive.
